The City of Fort Walton Beach Public Library invites you to Unearthing Florida, Saturday, November 2 at 11 am.
Presented by Mike Thomin, manager of the Destination Archaeology Resource Center in Pensacola, this presentation will highlight eight different archaeological sites across the state from prehistoric times to the Civil War.
Learn about the history and archaeological investigations of these sites, some of the high-tech tools archaeologists used there, the artifacts they uncovered, and why the sites are important cultural resources.
This program is free and open to all ages.
The Fort Walton Beach Library is located at 185 Miracle Strip Parkway, in downtown Fort Walton Beach at the corner of Eglin Parkway.
Parking is on First Street to the North and Ferry Road to the East.
